Sydney Uni Wallabies Remember Australian Rugby of the 50s & 60s (2021)

This video screened at the Sydney University Football Club's Wallaby Legends Lunch, on Saturday 19 June, 2021. It tells the story of Wallaby tours to the UK, South Africa and New Zealand during rugby's amateur heyday in the 1950s and 1960s. Includes commentary from SUFC Wallabies Saxon White, Peter Crittle, John O'Gorman, Jim Boyce and Stewart Boyce, with narration by Gordon Bray.

DVD: Solomon, Tooth & White: Memories of a Golden Era (2019)

The inaugural Sydney University Football Club Wallaby Legends Lunch took place at Sydney Uni on the 15th of June with a panel discussion and the screening of an original short documentary by Theo Clark featuring the recollections of club Wallabies of the 1940s and 1950s Dr John Solomon, Dr Dick Tooth and Emeritus Professor Saxon White.

This moving and entertaining documentary honoured Sydney Uni's Wallabies of the 1940s, 50s and 60s and featured additional interviews with SUFC Wallabies John O'Gorman, Peter Crittle and Jim Boyce, along with cameos from Arthur Buchan, Terry McBride, interspersed with rare archival footage and photographs to recapture the spirit of a bygone age of rugby at Sydney Uni and on the world stage.

The film tells how the spirit instilled in young players at Uni Oval had echoes right across the rugby world for decades to come, from the Wallabies' first Bledisloe win in 1949, to their last tour by ship in 1957/8, their "habit of victory" through the 1960s, and on to the successful administration of the the game from 1970s.

A limited edition DVD featuring the documentary along with a recording of the inaugural Legends Lunch can be ordered on DVD HERE.

From an Ace to a Puma: 60 Years of Warren Rugby (2015)

This excerpt from the DVD ''From an Ace to a Puma: 60 Years of Warren Rugby'' introduces the story of the Warren Rugby Club of the western plains of NSW - a place of droughts, floods, and vast distances - where it takes a special bond of mateship and community just to field a team on a Saturday. In 2014, the Warren Rugby Club celebrated its 60th anniversary. This film tells the story of the rich heritage and folklore of this quintessential bush rugby club. Narrated by Gordon Bray and featuring an original song performed by Greg Storer and Sara Storer, with reflections by Wallabies Nick Farr-Jones, Jon White, Glenn Eisenhauer and a host of Warren club stalwarts.
